InVideo review: pricing, features and what testers found

InVideo AI turns a prompt or script into an edited video with stock footage, AI voiceover and clips from generative models such as Seedance, Veo and Kling, all paid for in credits. Plans start at $20 a month per seat, or $10 a month billed yearly with a 50%-off coupon.

Our take

InVideo has become a credit-metered AI studio rather than a simple script-to-video tool, and its costs are hard to predict: the AI agent spends credits while it works, not just on finished clips. One tester on the earlier $17 Plus plan, with 75 credits, ran out of credits before getting a finished Short in August 2026. It suits teams that want generative clips and a shared timeline in one place; if you want a predictable cost per stock-footage minute, Pictory is easier to budget.

Based on InVideo's published plans and the hands-on tests linked below, not on a test of our own.

Good for

  • Faceless social videos and B-roll-heavy explainers made from a prompt
  • Teams that want generative clips and a shared timeline in one subscription

Watch out for

  • Credits reset monthly, do not roll over, and expire when you cancel or downgrade; the AI agent uses credits while it processes.
  • Refunds only within 7 days and only if nothing was generated or downloaded.
  • Prices are per seat. The yearly prices ($10, $30 and $75 a seat a month for Starter, Plus and Max) are a 50%-off coupon that the pricing page applies to every new yearly plan; its data calls the coupon '50% off forever' and gives no end date. Business plans get 40% (Team) or 50% (Scale) off yearly the same way. On monthly billing Max is 10% off for the first month only ($135, then $150), and its 10,000- and 15,000-credit steps 12% and 17% off.
  • Prices and credit amounts changed in 2026, and yearly prices changed again in October (Starter from $20 to $10 a seat a month, Plus from $36 to $30); reviews quoting Plus at $17 a month no longer match the pricing page.
  • Trustpilot scores are low (2.9 out of 5), with complaints about credits and billing.

What hands-on testers found

We have not tested InVideo ourselves. These are the published tests we found that used it hands-on, newest first; follow the links for the full reviews.

NenaWow · Nena Jasar · August 5, 2026

What they tested: The paid Plus plan as sold in August 2026 ($17 a month billed yearly, 75 credits), asking the AI agent to turn a finished TikTok script into a vertical video.

  • Used 81.8 of 75 monthly credits without getting a publishable Short.
  • The output was a style grid and five generated clips of about 36 seconds in total, not one narrated video.
  • At zero credits, generation stopped with a prompt to upgrade or buy more.
  • The interface and media library were solid.

TechRadar · Krishi Chowdhary · updated July 20, 2026

What they tested: One-prompt video generation with TechRadar's standard prompt, and the AI agent on the free plan.

  • The one-prompt mode produced a fairly realistic Instagram Reel of the prompt.
  • Processing took arguably the longest of the tools compared, noticeably longer than CapCut or VEED.
  • The AI agent stopped partway on the free plan because it needed more credits.
  • The reviewer calls it one of the more expensive AI video tools.

Their score: 4.5 out of 5 in the page data (the star widget shows 4)

Zapier · Miguel Rebelo · updated July 8, 2026

What they tested: Prompt-to-video and prompt-based editing in a tested roundup.

  • It writes a script, picks stock clips, then adds voiceover, text, music and transitions.
  • Generation takes a while.
  • Typed edit requests such as "add subtitles" were applied accurately; the interface can be confusing.
