Pictory vs InVideo
Verdict
Pick Pictory for predictable stock-footage videos: Starter's $29 a month buys 200 exported minutes, about 15 cents a minute, and Unite.AI's tester had a first cut within seconds, though testers had to swap many clips. Pick InVideo if you want generative AI clips from models such as Seedance, Veo and Kling next to stock footage, and budget carefully: its AI agent spends credits as it works, and one tester on the earlier $17 Plus plan ran out before finishing a Short.
Based on published plans and other people's hands-on tests, not on a test of our own.
Choose Pictory if
- You repurpose blog posts, scripts or slide decks into stock-footage videos
- You want a fixed allowance you can plan around (200 exported minutes a month on Starter)
- You want licensed Getty Images and Storyblocks footage included
Choose InVideo if
- You want generated clips, not only stock footage
- Your team edits on one shared timeline
- You want the lower entry price ($20 against $29 a month)

What hands-on testers found
Pictory
Zapier, updated July 8, 2026
- Picked as the best app for turning existing content into polished video.
- The editor was easy to find your way around.
- Output looks templated next to fully generative tools; it does not create original footage.

InVideo

- Used 81.8 of 75 monthly credits without getting a publishable Short.
- The output was a style grid and five generated clips of about 36 seconds in total, not one narrated video.
- At zero credits, generation stopped with a prompt to upgrade or buy more.
