VEED vs Kapwing
Verdict
Pick VEED if subtitles are the point and you pay yearly: TechRadar rates its caption styling among the best, and Creator costs $12 a month billed yearly against Kapwing Pro's $16. Pick Kapwing for heavier editing on the entry plan: 4K export, 120-minute exports and 200 GB of storage, in a browser editor Zapier's tester called snappy. Neither refunds you once you have used the service, and both charge per seat.
Based on published plans and other people's hands-on tests, not on a test of our own.

Choose Kapwing if
- You want 4K export on the entry plan (Kapwing Pro includes it; VEED needs Pro at $22 a month billed yearly)

What hands-on testers found
VEED
TechRadar, updated July 20, 2026
- Text-to-video was slower than Kapwing and Fliki but followed the prompt word for word.
- A 5-second AI video cost 40-50 credits, so the free plan allows about one.
- The same image cost about 20 credits with one model and 5 with another.

Kapwing
Zapier, updated October 5, 2026
- The browser editor felt like a desktop app and was snappy.
- You can start cutting before footage finishes uploading.
- The AI tools feel optional and spend credits; the free tier is 720p with a watermark.
