Vizard review: pricing, features and what testers found

Vizard turns long videos into captioned vertical clips, lets you trim them by editing the transcript, and publishes or schedules them to social platforms. Paid plans start at $29 a month for 600 minutes of uploaded video.

Our take

Vizard gives the most upload minutes for the money of the three clip tools we cover: 600 minutes a month for $29, about 5 cents a minute, or half that billed yearly. Its one detailed independent test found captions mostly right, a crop that did not always keep the speaker centred, and a newer clipping model that charges about 1.3 credits a minute. Upload the original file rather than a YouTube link for better quality.

Based on Vizard's published plans and the hands-on tests linked below, not on a test of our own.

Good for

  • Podcasters and webinar hosts repurposing long recordings
  • People who prefer editing by transcript

Watch out for

  • Credits are charged on the full uploaded length at import.
  • The newer clipping model charges about 1.3 credits a minute against 1.0 for the older one.
  • Business costs more than Creator for the same credits; it adds seats and a brand kit.
  • Refunds only within 7 days and only if unused; uploading counts as use.

What hands-on testers found

We have not tested Vizard ourselves. These are the published tests we found that used it hands-on, newest first; follow the links for the full reviews.

CreatorIntelHQ · Gaurav Sharma · updated September 28, 2026

What they tested: The free plan end to end, and a 10-minute 1080p video through both clipping models, with credits logged at each step.

  • Captions were mostly right, with some wrong words; the vertical crop did not always keep the speaker centred.
  • The newer model charged 13 credits for a 10-minute video against 10 on the older one, and returned fewer, longer clips.
  • An uploaded file gave about six times the bitrate of a pasted YouTube link.

Reap (a competing clip tool) · April 29, 2026

What they tested: Nine clipping tools on the same 90-minute podcast within 48 hours; published by a competitor, so treat it as indicative.

  • Vizard produced its first usable clip in about 10 minutes, against about 25 for Opus Clip.

Their score: Third of 9 tools (Reap ranked itself first)
