Copy.ai review: pricing, features and what testers found

Copy.ai, now owned by Fullcast, is an AI platform for sales and marketing teams: a shared chat with OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models, brand voice and a company knowledge base, plus workflows that automate research and content. Paid plans start at $29 a month for five seats.

Our take

Copy.ai now suits small sales and marketing teams more than writers: the $29 Chat plan gives five people unlimited multi-model chat, but Unite.AI's Janine Heinrichs found its short-form copy generic and ChatGPT better at matching her voice. On the $249 Agents plan, its Repurpose Blog Post workflow turned an article into five drafts with the right figures, though she also caught invented details, and Content Agent Studio would not run at all. Zapier's Ryan Kane noted that Copy.ai has shipped no product update since June 2025 and was bought by Fullcast in October 2025, and advised against signing up for now.

Based on Copy.ai's published plans and the hands-on tests linked below, not on a test of our own.

Good for

  • Small sales and marketing teams that want one shared multi-model AI chat with a common brand voice and company facts
  • B2B teams repurposing content or researching accounts at volume, with someone to fact-check every draft

Watch out for

  • No free plan, and a full refund only within 5 calendar days of the first purchase; after that the payment is final, and a yearly plan cannot be switched to monthly.
  • Copy.ai no longer seems to be in active development: its changelog has no entry after June 16, 2025, and Fullcast bought the company in October 2025.
  • Workflows and Content Agent Studio need the $249-a-month Agents plan, which the pricing page did not show on October 9, 2026 (Zapier says it is offered as an upgrade after you sign up); workflow credits vary by task and reset each month without rolling over.
  • The terms give you a license to use generated content rather than ownership, though Copy.ai says it does not train AI models on your data.

What hands-on testers found

We have not tested Copy.ai ourselves. These are the published tests we found that used it hands-on, newest first; follow the links for the full reviews.

Unite.AI · Janine Heinrichs · September 29, 2026

What they tested: Paid for the Agents plan and tried Brand Voice and Infobase in Chat against ChatGPT, Content Agent Studio, and the Repurpose Blog Post workflow on two of her own articles.

  • Infobase facts came through correctly, but Brand Voice missed her tone: only 1 of 10 short pieces was usable as written, and ChatGPT did better with the same material (Copy.ai ran the older GPT-4.1 mini).
  • The Repurpose Blog Post workflow turned each article into five channel drafts with the right figures, but invented details such as hours spent testing, a statistic and a price.
  • Content Agent Studio failed every time with an error asking for three examples she had already added.

Zapier · Ryan Kane · updated September 8, 2026

What they tested: Time spent in both Copy.ai and Jasper, comparing their chat, workflows, brand tools and pricing for teams.

  • The Chat plan is still mostly a content generator, and the models it offered were 6 to 12 months behind the current flagships.
  • Unlimited use for five people in a shared workspace can cost less than a team plan bought directly from an AI lab.
  • Copy.ai has had no product update since June 2025 and was bought by Fullcast in October 2025, so he advised against signing up for now.
