Emergent pricing
Emergent's cheapest paid plan is Standard at $20 a month billed monthly, or $17 a month billed yearly. The free plan: The pricing and home pages list 10 free credits a month with the core features, but the help center says Free gets 10 credits on its first day and cannot publish to production (some free accounts may get one front-end-only app) or use custom domains; Memeburn's new account started with 0 credits and took a $1 seven-day Standard trial with 100 credits. On Standard, that works out to $0.200 per credit if you use the whole allowance.

| Standard | $20 | $17 | 100 credits a month that expire at each renewal; web and mobile apps, private project hosting, publishing and custom domains, GitHub integration, task forking; extra credits from $50 for 250; Memeburn's tester started it with a $1 seven-day trial of 100 credits | $0.200 |
| Pro | $200 | $167 | 750 credits a month (7.5 times Standard's for 10 times the price); adds a 1M-token context window, Ultra thinking, system prompt editing, custom AI agents, high-performance computing and priority support; the help center makes Maxx mode Pro-only | $0.267 |
| Business | not listed | not listed | Book a demo, no public price: everything in Pro plus role-based access, SSO, shared team workspaces and real-time co-editing | – |

Price per credit is our calculation: the monthly-billing price divided by what the plan includes, assuming you use all of it. It is not a measured cost.
| Cost per finished minute | Not measured by us. Calculated from the plan: $0.200 per credit on Standard. |

Before you pay
- Credits are charged by the work each prompt takes, whatever the result: the help center says a prompt can cost a handful of credits to hundreds and a large build thousands, and Maxx mode uses significantly more with no published multiplier. The help center says Emergent shows an estimate before large changes, but Memeburn's tester saw no cost before a task ran; you can set a credit cap per session or per prompt.
- Keeping an app live costs credits every month on top of building: publishing tiers run from 50 credits a month (Starter, 0.05 vCPU and 200 MB, which Emergent says is not for production load) to 1,100 (Elite), so one small live app takes half of Standard's 100 credits. If your balance goes negative, the help center says your published app may be taken down until you top up.
- Monthly plan credits do not roll over; top-ups ($50 for 250 credits) never expire but are non-refundable. On refunds the pages disagree: the help center offers a prorated refund of unused subscription credits after you cancel, minus published-app usage, while the terms say payments are non-refundable unless Emergent decides otherwise and give no partial refund for the unused part of a billing period.
- The free plan is described two ways: 10 credits a month on the pricing and home pages, and 10 credits on your first day in the help center. Memeburn's new account started with 0 credits, so she paid $1 for a seven-day Standard trial with 100 credits that renews at $20 a month. The help center also says Free is blocked from compute-intensive models, though the pricing page promises the most advanced models.
- Emergent's terms say it may use your content, including your code, to train AI models by default unless you opt out, for future use only; its help center says your personal data is never used for training but operational service data may be, with no opt-out, and its FAQ says simply that your data isn't used.
- Leaving takes work: code leaves only through Save to GitHub (Standard and up) or by copying files from the code view, without secrets or database contents, and the help center says there is no download button although the home page says you can download. The help center contradicts itself on whether you can export production data from the built-in MongoDB yourself, Emergent holds the Android signing key for apps built on it, and a mobile app cannot be converted back to a web app.
