Arcads review: pricing, features and what testers found

Arcads makes UGC-style video ads in which AI actors, based on real paid actors, read your script, and adds product presets and clips from models such as Veo and Kling. Paid plans start with Starter, whose price Arcads shows only inside its app; it includes 8,000 credits a month, enough for 10 talking-actor videos of up to 2 minutes each on Arcads 1.0, or 10 minutes on the Audio-Driven and OmniHuman 1.5 models.

Our take

Arcads suits performance marketers who need many UGC-style talking-actor ads to test on Meta and TikTok, but it publishes no prices: they show only inside the app (its help center says only that yearly billing is 20% off), and its 72-hour trial needs a card and turns into a paid Starter plan unless you cancel. Marketer Milk's Omid G saw the entry plan at $110 a month when he signed up for his March 2025 review, before the current credit plans. Arcads' help center gives Starter 8,000 credits a month; an Arcads 1.0 talking-actor video costs 800 credits for up to 2 minutes, and the Audio-Driven and OmniHuman 1.5 models 800 credits per started minute, so Starter makes 10 Arcads 1.0 videos or 10 minutes on the other two. Omid G found one of his two actors indistinguishable from a real person, and The Social Outline's Rhys, whose agency uses it for app-ad hook tests, found its actors come across as people filming casually at home. There is no cash refund for a billing period in which you used credits, and its Trustpilot score is 2.6 from 184 reviews, so read the billing rules before the trial ends. For a free plan, explainers or training video, HeyGen and Synthesia fit better.

Based on Arcads's published plans and the hands-on tests linked below, not on a test of our own.

Good for

  • Performance marketers and agencies testing many hook and actor variations for Meta and TikTok ads
  • Apps, SaaS and other digital products that an actor can talk about without handling them

Watch out for

  • Arcads publishes no prices on its website; its help center says prices are on the pricing page in the app and yearly billing is 20% off, and the trial needs a card and charges for Starter automatically after 72 hours unless you cancel.
  • Talking-actor costs depend on the model: Arcads 1.0 charges 800 credits a video for up to 2 minutes, so a 20-second ad costs as much as a 2-minute one, while Audio-Driven and OmniHuman 1.5 charge 800 credits per started minute. Arcads' older credits article still lists 800 credits a minute per actor for all three, with each extra actor charged again, and Arcads says it tests other rates and plan sizes on some accounts, so check the cost on the Generate button.
  • Starter and Creator credits reset each cycle with no rollover, and generation stops at the monthly limit until renewal or an upgrade; Pro and up roll credits over but bill use beyond the allowance on the next invoice; unused credits are lost when you cancel or downgrade.
  • Cash refunds mostly need unused credits: a full refund for a billing period with no credits used (asked within 30 days), or a one-time courtesy within 24 hours of a first charge; failed generations get credits back, not cash, and only for platform errors, never for poor lip-sync or results you dislike.
  • The video licence is non-exclusive and limits edits to things like cropping, captions, music and B-roll; if an actor withdraws consent Arcads can ask you to take the videos down, and Arcads may use your scripts and uploads to train its models.

What hands-on testers found

We have not tested Arcads ourselves. These are the published tests we found that used it hands-on, newest first; follow the links for the full reviews.

The Social Outline · Rhys · July 14, 2026

What they tested: Arcads as the agency's main tool for talking-actor hook tests in its mobile app ad campaigns, in a roundup of AI UGC tools.

  • The actors come across as real people filming casually at home, not as studio presenters.
  • The workflow suits pasting a batch of scripts and generating variations across actors.
  • It is the wrong pick for ads whose concept is carried by the visuals instead of the script.

Marketer Milk · Omid G · March 27, 2025

What they tested: Two UGC-style ads for his marketing newsletter from one script, with two library actors.

  • Both looked strikingly real; one actor he could not tell from a real person, while the other's voice sounded slightly like AI.
  • Voices can be previewed before credits are spent, and the videos took a few minutes to render.
  • There was no editing inside the app, so finishing touches meant another editor such as CapCut, and he rates it far better for digital products than physical ones.
  • The paywall he saw after sign-up, before the current credit plans, started at $110 a month for up to 10 videos.
